  28.   I did it with booleans simply because a LOT fewer polygons are created
  29. than using the Clone option.  Using the supplied values my script will
  30. generate a set of stairs (with Remove Center set to No) with 162 polygons.
  31. If I create a half cylinder using the same values as my script (outer
  32. radius and step depth) and if I clone it using 33 for the # of clones,
  33. 3 for the offset, and 15 for rotation, I'll end up with an object   
  34. composed of 646 polygons.  Granted, cloning is a LOT faster, but using
  35. booleans, in this case, will create far fewer polygons.  For that
  36. reason I chose to use booleans.

  38.   With my script, which isn't perfect, you will sometimes get very odd  
  39. results.  Most of the time however it will create a decent object with
  40. a minimum number of polygons.
